I had to be quick about it, too, so it didn’t burn!Looking for a fight and barely wielding an axe, Dragon’s Prophet gold is diving into Darkfall Unholy Wars. Nothing starts a Sunday off like a soothing mountain walk atop a glorious Death Pig.I also found that I was gravitating more toward zones in games that were covered in snow and ice. A subconscious attempt at put myself in a cooler frame of mind, perhaps?
- Whether it worked or not, I cannot say, but it certainly didn’t hurt any.Although even more details will be forthcoming as the convention progresses, there were some definite highlights shared by SOE CEO John Smedley, EverQuest Producer Thom Terrazas, and EverQuest IIProducer Holly Longdale, including expansion announcements, release dates, and even some EverQuest Next tidbits. The expansion will have a brand-new system called Heroic Adventures; this system will handcraft scenarios, generating objectives, pathways, mobs, and loot for each individual group when it enters the zone. Dragon’s Prophet gold will also be able to increase mercenaries power.
- More new content building on this expansion will be coming at the beginning of and throughout next year, and all expansion owners will get those updates for free.High-level players will also adventure through the new overland zone of Eternal Broodlands, the afterlife for dragons. Besides the overarching signature questline for the expansion, each of the nine dungeons (including High Keep) will have its own local stories.
- The Temple of Veeshan dungeon, home to a record-setting 20 bosses, is so large that it will be the first one that players can actually fly in.As the game approaches its launch date of September 18th, the development team at SOE took some time this past weekend to give a progress report of how the game is coming together and show off some big changes and additions that are sure to please fans. And if that isn’t enough, the team unveiled a new dragon that EverQuest fans will surely appreciate!
In addition, Dragon’s Prophet gold has also recently added the Dragon Sanctuary. Each guild can access the Sanctuary, an instanced area where players can meet and help level the guild by completing various daily objectives. As the guild levels up, it can unlock special guild abilities. Eventually, guilds can even summon an altar that takes donations from members. Based on the quality of the items that players sacrifice, the guild could summon various raid bosses to fight. What’s hotter than standing in the way of a fire-breathing dragon’s sneeze? Right now, my town! I didn’t want to turn the stove on last night and chance my place spontaneously combusting from the extra heat, so I went outside and fried up an omelet on the sidewalk.
